These ladies aren't too kind...

For the past several weeks, Houston has also been dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, we've welcomed our doors and our homes to all those who fled and left the path of destruction that was Hurricane Katrina, and now it appears it's our turn. I'm in preps right now to pack up stuff and head out of town myself now. Hurricane Rita is appearing to be a real... well I don't think I need to elaborate. I'm aware that my apartment is in one of Houston's 100 year flood plains and so there's a good chance I could be dealing with a lot of damage when I return. I hope everything turns out ok, but you just can't tell with these storms that are this powerful. Please offer your prayers and support for all those who might be affected by this monster hurricane. My plans are to be up in College Station for the weekend, which still could very well be in the path of the storm, but it should just be heavy rains and thunderstorms, not the flooding who knows what this area is expecting...

Justin and I are both very happy that you made it to college station safely anyway (can never be too prepared), and that the storm dissipated/spread itself out into a light shower for your area in Houston. =) The main thing seriously affected was the powerlines, trees and drinkable water (not that I'm glad it hit Beaumont and Cameron, but still glad it didn't hit you guys), We were rooting for ya! Woot!! :D See you in game,

Karen
